This summer I was asked by my good friend Audra Krieg, of Audra Krieg Photography, to put together a styled shoot so that HGTV could film it... Yes, you read that right. HGTV. Excited was an understatement. Audra and her husband Jason recently bought a fixer upper here on the Outer Banks, and HGTV featured their experience on their new show Beachfront Bargain Hunt: Renovation. We had a blast pulling together this faux wedding for the HGTV crew to shoot, and thought, hey why don't we get other local vendors involved and submit to a blog. To our great surprise and excitement Style Me Pretty featured our shoot. Dreams comin true all over the place! Behind the scenes:
Audra gave me free reign so along with coordinating and styling the shoot, I wanted to try a unique hand lettered project. I made the table runner out of paper, hand lettered love quotes with watercolor, and I really love how it turned out! OAR's farm table and cross back chairs complimented the driftwood and earthy tones we were going for so well. Glimmer hair and makeup turned our awesome model Caton into a beautiful bride, and The Flower Girls provided a lovely over sized bouquet for her to frolic on the beach with.
